many historic sites. The birthplace of George Washington, Robert E. Lee and James Monroe. Within a short drive there’s Ingleside, Belle Mount and Oak Crest Vineyards,Westmoreland Berry
Farm, and Westmoreland State Park. For those who like antiquing, 45 minutes outside the town is Tappahannock and Historic Fredericksburg, where you’ll find some of the best antique shops around.
If you decide to spend the entire day in Colonial Beach you won’t be disappointed...its like being transported back in time where the pace is really slow and the locals are always smiling. Whatever you decide to do in Colonial Beach, you'll be glad you came.
